Monday Funday

If your Wimbledon fortnight got off to as lousy a start as that of Nick Kyrgios, take solace in our latest batch of knee slappers, highlighting the best brand funnies of the last few days.

Wake up and smell the coffee….

We kick off Monday Funday with a familiar face. The Anthony Joshua of knockout content, the Andy Murray of serving up laughter, it’s Paddy Power – and this week they’re taking no prisoners.

Following on from a BBC investigation, that found traces of faecal bacteria at Costa Coffee, the Irish bookmaker decided to stir the pot a little more. Paddy Power produced this well-crafted, and well crass, piece of content on one of their shop windows.Paddy Power Costa Coffee

See you later, pyjama-hater

To promote the release of the new Crossland X SUV, Vauxhall has released a hilarious video celebrating the rise of the ‘Pyjama Mamas’. The one-minute clip follows pyjama-wearing mothers, with a gangster beat providing the musical backdrop, as they reclaim both the school gates and the supermarkets aisles.

Heavy metal hamster

The automobile trade has been on fine form in the last seven days, with Kia Motors putting out this hard-driving, Motörhead-filled piece announcing the arrival of the ‘turbo hamster’.

We see Turbo, a newly born hamster (possibly a distant relation of Kia’s 2010 hip-hop hamsters ), make a bid for freedom from the ward, with medics in hot pursuit. The fired-up furball charges through the hospital, bundling through x-ray machines and generally leaving a trail of destruction before parachuting out of the building into the open top of a fast-moving Kia Soul Turbo.

He might not have the widespread appeal of a Meer Kat, but at least he inspired one YouTube commenter to christen our hero with a cracking pun of a name: ‘motörhamster’. Bet the folks at Kia wish they’d thought of that.
